Re: Question about my new boat...
Thanks ya'll. Glad I asked. Yeah, I've got a bilge pump but I'd rather not have to use it. I had to run back from the pennisula to PSJ across the bay a couple of years ago in my Gheenoe one afternoon. When I left in the morning it was slick as a baby's behind....it was a nightmare coming back. Kept telling the girlfriend it was fine, all the while tying a life jacket off to my motor on a 100 ft line so I could find it later. Don't wanna go through that again. I got back to the dock and some old man had been watchin us coming in. He asked me if I'd just come all the way across. When I told him I had he muttered "now I've f'n seen everything" and walked off. I'm gonna be down there camping regardless so I'll probably take the boat and just hope the forecast changes. If not, I'll just go surf fishin.

Go West to Crooked Island Sound. Should be protected enough for that boat. There aren't any fish in there but you would be able to get on the water.

I take some crazy cruises but would not try that.
