It is a sad story, but I spend my year Kentucky and live vicariously through the many stories on the board. I'd move down there tomorrow, but have a great job and kids still in school. My parents spends most of the year on SGI, but Dad seems to like grouper fishing above all else and I like the reds and specks. The forum is used as much for information as entertainment. I don't do a whole lot of fishing up here; all I own is a Yak. Besides, other than stipers in Lake Cumberland, freshwater and saltwater don't compare.

A lot of reports go unreported anymore because.......the reporters couldn't go back to the spots they spent hours and hours scouting without finding a half dozen boats on them.
They then had to go 50 miles in either direction and start over finding new fish.
Some people don't rely on reports.
They do what a boat did today to us.
Ride by and see you go for the net,then shut down 1 cast behind you and start fishing.
We boated the catfish gave each other high 5 and left in a hurry.
Wonder if they caught anything there?

If you all will take a minute to stroll over to Off Topic and then scroll to the bottom and sort Off Topic by replies - descending. You will notice OT first page has 218 to 42 replies on the first sorted page. You may also note the topics of discussions in Off Topic. Now stroll back over to Inshore Fishing reports or any other sub forum and sort the same. For Inshore fishing the first page tally is 71 to 34 - also note the authors that are MIA. Now think back to the information you saw earlier in Off Topic. Then think back to when I was asking everyone to reframe from politics and other crap that wasn't really part of a fishing website. What was I told - its Off Topic and we can talk about what we want too - I said fine - you guys have at it. Now think back to the authors that are MIA - they left because of the Off Topic BS....this is not my opinion - this is the words spoken from their mouths. No embellishment on my part - the gospel as it has been told to me by several of the MIA contributors.
