Peng said yes I want in with Wife and Calvin and Tommy also wanted to get in the ring since last Saturday was supposed to be his spot not Brad’s (don’t think brad was to unhappy about filling his bean bag)

Got ice, got on the water headed out to fill the live well with pinfish after grabbing a few from the Lanark Village Market boat basin (thanks Carson & Mike). Was patient and let the boys blacken the well with pins and then headed south to the mango #1
Unfortunately we found another boat on the Mangrove number who wasn’t too happy we came off plane near him to say hey sorry we’ll make a change to a different spot, "how’d ya’ll get this number" I asked jokingly? They got rather upset that us GA boys (LOL) didn’t give them “Their” space, well it is a free damn country and I could have just as well have dropped anchor and fished right next to him like some of the FL guys do to me, instead I motored a short ways away to get my bearings on a different spot having planned to start the day there, I was a little befuddled to say the least to see someone on the spot we spent all last weekend on and never did see anyone near us.
As I’m getting plan B together, I remind you no one has as much as touched a rod to fish, these guys come flying at us like were the Debil

Why can’t we all just get along LOL
We set up on spot two and proceeded to put a few big Red snapper boat side to be vented and released, cussing their lack of presence the previous week, I think everyone took turns reeling up a decent ARS before the Mango’s and the Red Grouper started chewing and I can’t tell you how happy that made us! And YES some other anglers drifted so close to our marker buoy I thought they were going to use it to anchor on LOL I just asked them nicely if they wanted to tie up didn’t try and RUN them down LOL
Needless to say the Chee family certainly had the good Chi flowing on the boat and everyone had a great time landing some big fish including Mrs. Chee landing a LARGE nurse shark and another large shark later in the day she also managed some nice Grouper and Snaps!! Made another move and had a few more mango come aboard. Then Tommy’s line went screaming away from and around the boat & I finally stuck the nice King and tried to find some where to put him as by this time the box was full!
After waiting out a frontal system that looked as if it was dumping pretty good rain towards the coast we ran through the weaker back half only getting wet for @ ten minutes then got on the other side of the front and it actually got nice, the wind had switched completely and I was now running north into a tight head sea of @ 1-2 ft so after reaching state waters I stopped at a number I had caught snapper on previous years in the fall so I told the guys if you don’t get bit here I’ll wash the boat!
They did all they could to make me nervous even though I could see there were fish on the screen, after a grunt that Brad would have been proud of Tommy finally bows up to a good fish and I’m Like Yea!! We finally get to keep one of those damn ARS!! Except it was a different Red species, but it still counts as a fish and THIS Joe didn’t have boat wash duties :thumbsup
The fireman Tommy & his little Red fire truck!

Tired and being out late due to the storm front we just cleaned a couple and took them to my friends at Sienyard to cook up for us! They did a great job feeding the Chee’s and me and we all went home fat and happy!
Peng and I got after the cleaning duties in the morning.

Thanks to all my crew and of the great and almighty God and Mr. Todd! Especially to the one I missed the most on this trip who told me to buy her a boat called the Celestial Crab :wink
