My oldest sons and I set out to fish the incoming tide Saturday afternoon at Keaton. We went straight to Dog Head and found the bite after just a little bit of looking. I was fishing a Cotton Cordell that kept getting boiled until I switched to a like-colored Bite-A Bait that the fish couldn't refuse. For over an hour, I was getting a strike most every cast.
My son was fishing a Cajun Thunder equipped with a new penny and chartreuse Gulp, and he was getting a good bite as well. The water was clear, and we saw a 6-8' shark nosing around for a few moments. That's about the time the bite slowed.
All in all, we finished out (even did some culling) with a two-man limit of trout, two Spanish and a Blue.
