My oldest sons and I set out to fish the incoming tide Saturday afternoon at Keaton. We went straight to Dog Head and found the bite after just a little bit of looking. I was fishing a Cotton Cordell that kept getting boiled until I switched to a like-colored Bite-A Bait that the fish couldn't refuse. For over an hour, I was getting a strike most every cast.
My son was fishing a Cajun Thunder equipped with a new penny and chartreuse Gulp, and he was getting a good bite as well. The water was clear, and we saw a 6-8' shark nosing around for a few moments. That's about the time the bite slowed.
All in all, we finished out (even did some culling) with a two-man limit of trout, two Spanish and a Blue.

Nice catch and some fat trout! The smile on your son's face tell it all…not even a guess as to how much fun he had!
Making happy memories that will never be forgotten.
GREAT job! Thanks for the report.

Y'all tore 'em up pretty good.
To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.
