I know we're waaaaay away from Merritt Island, but I figured I'd post this anyway for anyone who does hunt, or wants to hunt, Merritt Island. There are changes being proposed and we have an opportunity to put our two cents in.

Re: Merritt Island NWR
I will have to read it later. I haven't hunted down there in years and years. Almost went last year, but something came up. Used to be pintail mecca. Not so much anymore from what I hear.Danibeth wrote:I know we're waaaaay away from Merritt Island, but I figured I'd post this anyway for anyone who does hunt, or wants to hunt, Merritt Island. I hunted there in the 80's with my dad. He favored area 4. Seeing 100 pintails decoying is a sight to see. The way they drift back and forth from way up coming lower each pass. And sleeping on the causeway.
