Went to Aucilla on Tuesday. Tide was low right before we arrived....but we managed to launch. Uneventful trip down the river....but foggy..foggy. Went to one of my favorite places...struck out..except for one short. Went on down the river to the entrance...this is where the pelicans hang out. Nothing...fish or foul.
Went on out on the flats to where they have been tearing em up. Not a bite on anything we offered.
Came back west of the river where we scored last week. Nothing.
Little did I realize this was the pattern for the entire day. My partner got one bite all day...and got a 19 redfish. I did better. I got 2 bites...and got 1 short and 1 keeper flounder.
Seems to be the luck....after a good trip...like last Wednesday....a bust next trip.
Pelicans left me alone this time. I did see some...but they were fishing schools of mullet...and doing better than me. They got a few right in front of me. Fog lifted about noon. Lots of people out for a Tuesday.
