Always Check Your Deer Stands
The directions for every deer stand that I’ve ever assembled, include the same warning— check your stand before using it every time. It’s great advice, but it’s hard to do in the dark early mornings when you meant to be up in the stand 20 minutes earlier.

last year, i got up in the stand and there was a Rattlesnake curled up on the branch right about my head! it's certainly unlocked a new fear!
