It sure isnt my ol carolina skiff :o . We did around a 65 to 70 mile round trip, my glasses got sprayed about a half dozen times and that was after the wind picked up to a stiff 20 knot west cross wind on the way from Bryson. Never had to run slower than 25 mph just put the nose in when I needed to and let the boat do the work. used about 20 gal. of fuel. The boat is measuring up to be just what I was looking for in versitility, some times it dosent work out the way you expect :o but looks like this time it has :-D

Penn:

What kind of boat did you get? Sounds like it did that trip well. On the same seas, I was going about 12-13k into that head sea, but I drive a dink.

70 miles on 20 gallons of fuel is awesome. Do you have a 4-stroke?

Ats Nice.

A bird in the hand is better than two in the bush?? I guess it depends on the bird.
