Wuz sittin on Yamaha at 7:30 this mornin. Lots of short AJs and grouper w/one keeper Gag. Moved to Bryson And played with AJs until 2:00. Total for the day: Lots of good eatin, 3 whiped men and a tired minni me(Steven Jr.)
We fished and trolled some live bottom in about 35ft of water and caught one keeper RG and a few shortss. SHould have went and played with the AJ's like you. My mini me had a good time though and fished hard.
It sure isnt my ol carolina skiff . We did around a 65 to 70 mile round trip, my glasses got sprayed about a half dozen times and that was after the wind picked up to a stiff 20 knot west cross wind on the way from Bryson. Never had to run slower than 25 mph just put the nose in when I needed to and let the boat do the work. used about 20 gal. of fuel. The boat is measuring up to be just what I was looking for in versitility, some times it dosent work out the way you expect but looks like this time it has

What kind of boat did you get? Sounds like it did that trip well. On the same seas, I was going about 12-13k into that head sea, but I drive a dink.
A day on the water is worth 2 in the bush.....Well, somethin' like that.
Thanks for lettin' us know. The good fishing is just a few weeks away.
I hope...
