First let me say the water was I went out to 40' or so, with plans for some grouper. By days end three guys ended up with 6 keepers. The one fish that was on an endless supply was "grunts" I read in a fishin book that grunts were good eatin I did keep a couple, for trial basis only If you have any info pls reply.
Also, hows the trout fishin ?? cause I was hopin to get out this thursday, or friday
Thought I heard ya on the radio yesterday seems the fish was enjoying the weather also and not eating a lot I had to go out to 50 foot to get the two keepers I got never eat a grunt but everyone that has, loved em skined and fillet just like a Trout, then fried there are some BIG Trout being caught, it's just a bit agravating ta try and find em

And where we fished yesterday Ive got some #'s so maybe another day !

Mako the grunts we refer to as "pink mouths" are pretty good. Not what you target but you can keep a few and they fill in well when your frying fish and feeding a crowd.

If your boat has a Mako shark on the side of it I saw you coming back up the river Sunday p.m. Took the family to eat at Riverside. Me and the boy sat on the dock, and counted the boats that passed.
I'm not too proud to eat a grunt or a sea bass. If your catching big grunts you are in grouper terrain. I'll let my daughter catch grunts all day throw in a few grouper and you have some good eats.
Gettin' back to Wevans remarks on them Grunts.... I spoke with a fella today that told me "grunts are members of the snapper family" enough said I fired up cooker tonight along with some grouper as usual the grouper was fantastic !!! but "hold-on" that grunt'n snapper was E-X-C-E-L-L-E-N-T
And to Rocket.. I was'nt in my boat this past weekend I was with friends in theirs. I'm planning to have mine in the waterthis thursday most of the day weather permittin'
