A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
Use this area to post inshore fishing reports from the area. Please try to include relevant information such as:
Location, date, time, water conditions, weather conditions, baits, techniques, species caught, etc.
Finally I get to write a report, only problem is not much to report. Got on the water pretty early, but noticed only 5 other trucks at the landing. Started at a close spot the water very stained and 90 degrees. Had a couple of blowups on topwater with no hookups. Decided to keep moving towards Rock Island to find clearer water. The only clear water to be found was a large rocky area with no grass near Rock Island. There was bait schools everywhere. Only found one being worked over and hooked up with a few big ladyfish and a remora? Decided to go to a spot just west of the mouth(where I should have gone first) and put an 18" a 19" and a just legal trout in the boat in short order. By then it was time to go so we headed in. Man it was hot. I think I will wait till the middle or late September to go again.
