Ecofina 8/21/05 Report

Post by Hit-n-Miss »

Finally I get to write a report, only problem is not much to report. Got on the water pretty early, but noticed only 5 other trucks at the landing. Started at a close spot the water very stained and 90 degrees. Had a couple of blowups on topwater with no hookups. Decided to keep moving towards Rock Island to find clearer water. The only clear water to be found was a large rocky area with no grass near Rock Island. There was bait schools everywhere. Only found one being worked over and hooked up with a few big ladyfish and a remora? :smt102 Decided to go to a spot just west of the mouth(where I should have gone first) and put an 18" a 19" and a just legal trout in the boat in short order. :-D By then it was time to go so we headed in. Man it was hot. :smt004 I think I will wait till the middle or late September to go again.

"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".
