Put in at 0900...Southeast wind blowing straight up the bayou....Which was perfect for a 1.3 mph :o drift across a flat I wanted to fish....Alot wind, 20 trout to 16" (3 keepers), one 17" red with 6 spots on a jig of course   , one lizardfish....Straight jigs, jerk baits and topwater...Left them biting at 1200.... :smt028

You probably could have caught 6 reds with 17 spots if you would've used that spoon. Glad you got to go and way to put a few in the boat.

Okay, I got my dig in  ....Red was caught on a skitterwalk.....Drifted in real close and said to myself, "Self, if I was a redfish, I would hit a topwater plug off this point, if I was a redfish."....One long toss, three twitches and fish on...I like it when I can call the shots

Actually bought a dang ol' no fish catching spoon today, couldn't make myself use it though...

There's nothing better than "calling the shot".

And you might better let me have that spoon you bought, I wouldn't want to see it collecting dust in your tacklebox :-D
