The Bass woke up!
It must have gotten up close to 70 today. I only had a few minutes to fish but I got four good little bass in about 45 minutes. They still love the black trick worm.
I got one hit on a baby bass color Shad Rap but I snatched it out of his mouth.

It got cold again and they turned back off. I caught two yesterday. One on the black trick worm, one on a spinner bait.
I picked up some 1 1/2" shad assassins and some 1/32 jig heads. Those, and the little fishies make a great replacement for the jig that comes on a Johnson Beetle spin.
Late yesterday I found the bass laid up in less than a foot of water soaking up the sun. They were spooky and had the lockjaw. A couple of times they saw my lure coming out of the air and jumped before it even hit the water.
There is literally, about a ton of pine straw floating in the pond right now. It makes it a PITA to fish. I am about ready to let them rest until spring.
