Yup, the trout are back. Judging from the color of them they have been offshore. They are hungry too. Topwater, straight grubs or Equalizers. They're back, they're back they're back. Yippee, hooray.
Gone fishin, bye now.

And we don't need specifics, just a general idea of were ya found em, flats, oyster bars, deep, shallow and a general area, such as St. Marks, Lanark, Shell Point ........

3 years ago to the day. I wonder if they're back today. I think I'll check the shallow flats east of the LH. Maybe the trout have looked at their calendar.Jumptrout51 wrote:Yup, the trout are back. I noticed a decline in the groups of fish in the st. Marks River.... I expect them to be back out there after the last serious cold front.
JT I didn't see any pictures. I would like to see what a trout looks like after spending time in deeper water. Was there any food in their bellies? WEre the majority of the trout legal, or were they shorts?
Thanks JT-

Time is the most precious commodity we have in life, stay focused.
See ya'll on the flats
I broke down and paid for a top spot. It has a bunch of numbers on it. I don't know if I have mentioned before but, this site is excellent. I am getting one of the skeg guards installed on my boat from the marine shop in Tally Monday morning. They are going to make it and put install while I wait. You can not beat that kind of service with a 20 ft stick. Especially if the trout are on the flats.
I look foword to meeting and seeing some of you guys on the flats. See ya'll this weekend
