fellows i can fish both.. but i also use a compound bow, and a inline muzzle loader with a scope just like to put the odds in my favor. i also have done a little bit of tournament fishing. have a couple of close friends on the red fish trail making a living at it. as long as their wives keep their jobs. just made a new post about possibly trading a trip.

I personally know a guy who has a scope on a shovel. He killed a deer "in" Lake Talquin with it.

hey charles ive hunted the forest up there with you boys from wha- culaa for 20 years and i know how honaree you bunch can be.

looking forward to starting to fish up there some.its about the last part of the real FL. we have left.

The common name issue for any critter (species) is especially tricky for fish and even more so for "bait".
Pilchards are one of, if not THE go best saltwater bait there is. It's #1 for trout. Beats Pigs or Pins. Hook em through the nose & hang on. They're also called green backs but a book will call them Spanish Sardines. We don't see as many near Keaton because of how far "offshore" is from there. When you put in more west, such as St Marks & further, they are more common. One spot known for them is the eastern cove just inside of Dog Island. In St Joe Bay they're thick.
When I gotta go bait I Love Em Love Em Love Em. It's also just fun to throw a cast net.
