Well I finally made it out to fish, my first trip this year. Me and a buddy went around Live Oak Island near Patti's Island. The first hour there not even a bite, by the way is was a little breezy . We were fishing mirror lures and top dogs. I switched to a bubble gum zoom fluke and caught two shorts right away. We fished until around 12:30 and ended up with 5 keepers up to 18 inches. When we left it was steel Breezy . We probably caught close to 20 trout, but we had to stay in 5-6 feet of water.
Not a terrible trip seems that the fish are still to the East of Saint Marks for the most part You need to get in some practice before the 25th
“Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you are a mile away from them and you have their shoes.”
It would be better if the wind would lay off alittle . I still did not see alot of bait around tho, but the ones that did bite, bit aggressive I hope to have alot of practice in by then
