Live Oak Island

Post by devans850 »

Well I finally made it out to fish, my first trip this year. Me and a buddy went around Live Oak Island near Patti's Island. The first hour there not even a bite, by the way is was a little breezy  . We were fishing mirror lures and top dogs. I switched to a bubble gum zoom fluke and caught two shorts right away. We fished until around 12:30 and ended up with 5 keepers up to 18 inches. When we left it was steel Breezy  . We probably caught close to 20 trout, but we had to stay in 5-6 feet of water.

Not a terrible trip  seems that the fish are still to the East of Saint Marks for the most part :smt010 You need to get in some practice before the 25th :-D
