problem solved

Post by Capt. J.D »

Here is the deal. Carry a red rider pump up bb gun. If they are in bb gun range their too close so let er rip. Problem solved. It works great for Keys guides. They developed this method for jet skis. Good shootin' :o :o :o

Here is a true but funny story about getting cut off your drift.

About six years ago I was fishing between Panacea and Shell Point. A boat was fishing about 200 feet from us when it cranks up and stops about 50 feet down wind on my drift. I asked the people on my boat if they wanted to have some fun. "Sure". Knowing the fish was all around us I cranked my boat and moved to where the other boat came from. I told the people on my boat "When any of us catch a fish any fish everyone start hooping and hollering". Sure enough we caught a trout, a small one and just started carrying on "Whoo Hoo" " Whoo Hoo". We caught a few more and the other boat cranked up and left. They never caught anything.
If we were all crazy, Wouldn't that make us all normal.

If you do something like that, just make sure you got the balls to carry through with whatever might happen....they may defend themselves with a real gun...and they would have a right to do so legally.

Hooked

PS: Don't get me wrong. I think what the guy did was very unsportsmanlike, as well as what Riverrat said....

Hey Redfin...good to see you back at Anky!

I recognize the boat and the guy up front and he really is a nice guy.
That said, I do not condone his actions! I understand sometimes it can get a little crowded out there but it's still a big azz pond for sure.

I've had that same thing happen three times this year and it really
chaps my butt. Twice it was the same boat of teenagers two days in
a row and we were the only two boats in sight. The other time
this guy pulls in front of me and I'm drifting faster than his boat and when
I get close his female companion starts cussing me....go figure!
Obviously, being in a heavenly place like the Anky flats doesn't preclude
being exposed to idiots! :-D

Limited on trout 3 mornings and had bonus red each day and some
flounder one day. Water was pretty dirty and floating grass played heck
with my topwater efforts.

Hooked up with a bonito on my "breambuster" jig rod....that was a thrill
for about 10 seconds!
It may be that my sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
