Having endured 24 hours of the tail end of one of your hurricanes, with hail, high winds and torrential rain, we now have a calm, clear, sunny morning.

Nope, they were definitely yours, we had a brief clash with Gordon last week, he was a bit of a softy, but this one was Helene and she was not acting like a lady. :(

They lose some wind strength crossing the Atlantic, but pick up a lot of water and dump it all over us.
As our houses are made of bricks, there is rarely structural damage, apart from a few loose slates, but it makes travelling difficult and causes general disruption.

wevans, trust me, its nothing like being there, today we will struggle up to about 60 F and tomorrow is forecast to be colder.
Autumn is here and Winter will be close behind. :(

MORNIN ALL, CRAN, YOU SHOULD GET THE FISHIN POLE AND HEAD TO THE COAST JUST BEFORE ONE OF THOSE LOW PRESSURE CELLS HITS, THE FISH WILL TEAR IT UP, FILLING UP BEFORE THE STORM.
