Kayak Anglers Club Organization Meeting
Moderators: bman, Chalk, Tom Keels
We will record the meeting in High Definition, broadcast it on DISH and DirecTV and on FSN Thursday after the fishing report. The speakers will be Mark Nichols of DOA, Cory Routh from Legacy kayaks, and we are giving away the new ocean Kayak Prowler Big Game.
PS The only true part of that is, we are having a meeting.

I thought it went pretty good. When we got there I asked "Where is the kayak club meeting at?" and was taken to a room with about 8 people in it. However, these people did not look like any kayak anglers I had ever seen. Turns out they were a canoe and kayak club that was meeting there too. So we had our meeting on the veranda. There were 10 people and we all introduced ourselves, discussed the business of forming the club into an organization by January 2007. Also discussed that we would nominate officers at the next meeting in November, and vote on officers in December. As for fun we discussed some seminars that we would hold for the next meeting like rigging a kayak for fishing, and anchoring techniques including usinga stake out pole. In December we will talk about cold weather fishing and what to wear. Also Littoral gave us homework to figure out what his screen name means, (In between low and high tide). Abcarius tried to convince us that he really did catch a Tarpon, and two people from the canoe kayak club joined us for the rest of our meeting. See ya next time and we'll anounce that next week. Since Abcarius can't be there on Tuesdays or Thursdays we'll do it then. Most likely the next meeting will be on a Tuesday night, like November 14, 2007 at the same place "Old Mexico" on Apalachee Parkway. We could have done Monday but Rob Baker could not make it then. maybe Abcarius can ditch class.
C-ya there.
C-ya there.

Hey CD & Others,
Yep, as Jeff said, the meeting went well, and we had a pretty congenial and knowledgeable bunch. I put together a "roster" for future contact info, and need some e-mail addresses for the following folks (send me a PM with your e-mail): Bakertize, Josh, abcarias, RonHarrison, Linda, Elliott, and yourself. Anyone else out there who might be interested in the kayak side of the equation can send me their name, address, phone #, screen name, and e-mail also via a PM and I will see that you get added to the list.
