Scalloping is loads of fun to get out when it's hot and cool off. But, I would never think I'm getting much to eat from the trip. It's the catching and the snorkeling and the kids seeing critters.

I joke that the best thing one can do after a long day scalloping is to release them in a likely spot on the way in and then buy a bag at Publix. Same scallops, just frozen. And no guts and cleaning.
