Can You Freeze Smoked Mackerel Dip
I smoked a mess of mackerel that we caught yesterday. We are having some for dinner, but the rest I want to turn into a smoked fish dip. I made a "sample batch" a little while ago and it turned out pretty dang good (thanks for the tips on the SGI thread). Anyway, I've got quite a bit of smoked mackerel and it will make quite a bit of dip, in turn, I was wanting to know if anyone had any luck freezing smoked fish dip before. Any insight will be appreciated. Thanks.

I freeze smoked fish in my food saver for later use and it works pretty good

It is better to freeze your smoked mackeral and thaw and make the dip later.
Some ingredients don't freeze and maintain flavor and consistency well.

From what read over the weekend, it seems a lot of people agree with JT, off course.
