Back down to the island in the afternoon to take care of a few things before it floods in the morning, maybe tonight, then back to the important stuff thinking maybe I could pick up something on the falling tide. A few times I couldn't keep the dad-blamed seagulls off my speckled trout colored Skitter Walk. To them it must look exactly like a little trout because they were mobbing it when they were around. Switched to a bright red/yellow TopDog Jr. thinking, "surely seagulls can't be that stupid." They are.
There were a lot more sea birds of all stripes around this afternoon than I usually see, including some kind of ocean going kite. A couple of them hanging around the mouth of Walker Creek for a while. Lots of the usual stuff, seagulls, sandpipers, terns, wood ibis, etc.
Flipper was up in Walker Creek busting the mullet.
Anybody want to go in the morning?
