I have caught a few reds on top water from my kayak in eagle harbor (at the state park on san blas). Most have been working the grass patches in fairly shallow water.

After talking with the friendly Marine Patrol officer over Labor Day weekend :thumbup:, I'm now in the market for a fishing PFD. I'm new to kayak fishing and was wondering if anyone could recommend a comfortable PFD. I've done a little research online and two that I am considering are:

Another unusual thing...we were drifting just before taking out and suddenly we had about 100 brown sting rays playing all around the boat. Gliding around, curling their wing tips so that they stuck out of the water or playing in the sand at the bottom. That is the most I've ever seen together ...
