Re: Treehugger........GET A LIFE!!!!!!

Maybe take him grouper or flats fishing fishing. Who knows maybe he is just an old coot like me bitter cause he has no one to go fishing with. At any rate challenge him to find out why people fish. I'll buy the two day license.

Re: gas almost $4.00/gal cannot afford to go to coast

The station manager where I buy gas told me that they expect 5-6 dollars by July 4 and 7-8 by Labor day and 10 by Christmas.

He also told me some things I didnt know such as. Most stations dont "own" the gas they sell and as such make 3 cents "profit per gallon. Thats profit before paying for the ...

Re: gas almost $4.00/gal cannot afford to go to coast

So that ...

gas almost $4.00/gal cannot afford to go to coast

As above so I am looking for local Gadsden county fishing spots besides Lakes Talquin and the big S. Talquin (seem as big as my Yak) gators just are not afraid enough for me to enjoy being there.

Re: Rigging...

You know I had a small GPS on the Drifter which bailed me out in heavy fog once (I got very turned around and my usual landmarks were not visable).

Now that I have been through a collision and have reached the age where heart attacks occur I have been thinking at my wifes urging about the GPS and a ...

Re: Rock Garden

thanks...I think. Mainly thinking that when I used to fish for reds on the Myakka river we never fishd the flats unless we wanted trout which by the way were not really sought after much. We always fished rocky bottom on the bottom. Back then no one in my family ever thought lures were used in salt ...

Rock Garden

When I had the Blue Drifter one of my goals was to visit the rock garden. Any suggestion on how to get there or how far from the light house?

Along the same lines I am looking for spots that are at least 10 feet deep with rocky bottom within paddle range of the Kayak.
