Hog of a Trout

Link is an amazing story of an over zealous 30" trout. Tommy Mingledorff's dad grew up down the street from me here so I believe the story. http://www.bradenton.com/2011/12/11/3716551/ambitious-trout-bites-off-more.html Okay, the link will not work. Story in the Bradenton paper was about Tommy ...

Re: Another WIND question

Thanks for the link to the station map. Have not seen it before and am sure it will be useful to me and other BBF users. Perhaps inacurate was my assumption that the only way a reading at 40' above SL in the area would have at the water tower or perhaps the telephone tower on Alligator Point Road. F...

Re: Another WIND question

This is one I use for Alligator Bay:

Although it may say Panacea or Bald Point it is located at 40' on the water tower just west of the old KOA on AlPt. I've check it while on the Point and it appears to be correct.

Re: My day at St. Mark's

Oyster has a nasty bacteria that is hard to treat. I found out when my cuts made my ankle look pregnant and leg look like the flag. Keep cut open, drained, and pour on the peroxide.

Re: The Evil Empire

Me Too, SK and JT.

There's a little bit of spin in the quotes from FRA but the gist is correct. If you dig deep into the mission of those entities it is clear that the agenda is, DON'T EVEN LOOK AT THE WATER AND DON'T THINK ABOUT TOUCHING IT!

Re: Battery Suggestions

Just replaced two on my deep water boat after over four years use. They were Walmart marine batteries and had more than five hundred hours on them. I'm not a Walmart fan but replacements were the same spec. Found out that they are manufactured by Johnson Controls. Best news is that they were only $8...

Re: CCA Banquet Report

Thanks Steve, Eric, BBF.NETers and all who attended the banquet last night. It was a fun event for the 220 folks who came out for a good meal and to socialize with other fishing enthusiasts. That trip Steve won at the auction is an exceptional bargain. CCA Big Bend members receive an email in advanc...
