Went out of the river with the wife. Pulled up to a favorite spot and ended up staying there. 30+ trout in a couple of hours, kept 7 between 16” and 19”. Not a bad afternoon for such a minimal tide.

Went offshore this morning with my dad and buddy but not far because the wind was pushing up some pretty good swells. Buddy of mine and I doubled up on two 30lb cobia but ended up losing one due to breakage and the other wrapped around the buoy cable. One keeper grouper and one that was 21 inches ...

Got there at 1:30 and put in at Mandalay - headed to some local creeks and caught two 19" trout and one small redfish (too small to keep). A lot of water still coming down the river and judging by the other folks at the landing the flats are the best bet right now as the creeks are really red/brown ...

Nice fish! Your mom should be giving lessons on how to land fish! Am heading down there this week. Will post results when I can.

Awesome trip! I am bringing my buddy who is active-duty military down to the Aucilla area in 2 weeks for some R&R. From the looks of things, we will be able to find something to put a hurtin' on his forearms!
