Thanks for the input. I know how rocky it can be down there, I usually don't turn south until marker 9 and north till im almost at marker 1. I live in Georgia but have been fishing steinhatchee for the last 10 years or so. But, now that I have a family I only get a chance to go once or twice a year ...

Hello, I was just curious if anyone can give me any tips on inshore steinhatchee fishing? My parents have a place down there and ive grown up fishing but have never done great here. I dont think there are any hot spots in steinhatchee, thats the problem. I just go there because my family has a free place to stay.

I will be in steinhatchee this weekend, and i was also wondering where the fish are biting best. I think we will spend one day in the flats and maybe go to the reef on saturday.

i appreciate it, I have been thinking about doing this for a while now. I know i could learn more with a guide in one day, than i could in months or years fishing by myself.

Had a good day inshore yesterday. We turned south out of the chanel at marker #11. we rode about 1/2 mile and started driffting. We were throwing berkly gulp shrimp and had live pinfish behind us. I am interested in trying to catch a cobia inshore. Is it possible to catch this species without going offshore, and if so what kind of bait would be used. Thanks
