2013 mini season
A few friends and I visited sugarloaf key 15 miles north of key west for the mini season. We caught 120 keeper lobster in the 2 day span. We were diving in 18' on coral and rock to find them. Now I have a new vice! If you like diving, this is a must for the bucket list

Migratory grouper?
I have heard several opinions on this and I would like to hear yours. during the cool months I have no problem catching grouper but, as soon as season opens I begin to struggle catching keepers. Same goes with red snapper. I have done a little diving during the summer months and I don't see the ...

Nauti girls
I took my gf to fish the Nauti Girls tournament in the Hatch Saturday. The stiff 20 mph east wind made it tough on her. She fished hard all day and finally caught a 24" trout. I thought that would take the prize but, I was wrong. She finished 3rd out of over 100 girls. That is a tough tourney of all ...

Re: 5 davids and Goliath
BBG, the the cut lines were due to structure I think. And yes, rigging multiple rods to a single hook (using a much heavier leader) adds a LOT of strength. It is very easy for 4 rods rigged with 80# braid to break uncompromised 150# leader. Go to a big wreck and give it a try!

5 davids and Goliath
Hey fella's! I'm new to the forum and this is my first post. I fished 42 miles west the Hatch last Saturday. Some of my buddies and I wanted to pull on some big AJs and were armed with heavy tackle. After catching some 40#ers we had a Jew follow a small one up. We tied 5 80# outfits to a stainless ...
