I don't know what kind of Tarpon fishing you want to do but if you want to sightcast, go to Lanark, theres more fish there right now and the water is a little bit clearer. If you want to bait fish, go to the mouth of the Ochlocknee and down towards Mud Cove. Lots of hungry fish in that area.

Well Birddog, I'll tell you what, if the weather is favorable Sunday maybe we can figure some way out to go stick one or two. By the way how much did that 29" fish weigh? Call me and let me know something.

Lanark 7/12/03-7/14/03

On the water at 6:30 Saturday A.M. looking for Tarpon. Jumped one fish on a topwater plug while waiting for the light to get better(for fly fishing). The plug was meant for Trout, and I had already caught some good ones, but then Mr. Poon decided that he wanted some breakfast. Spooled my Calcutta 25...

Mud Cove 7/4-7/5

Well there wasn't much happening over there at the point this weekend. Only Tarpon we saw was the one that we hooked for about 10 seconds. That circle hook didn't do it's job like it was supposed to. To rough and rainy to try for Trout & Reds, but we had a good weekend full of good food, ...

Lanark 6/22/03

Got out about 10:30, right at high tide so we could fish the falling water. Tried a few unproductive tactics and finally decided to go with the old standby. Topwater. Caught two very nice 18- 19" fish very quick, and we were getting other hits but as all of you know trout ain't the most accurat...

Sharky, like DS mentioned that's a pretty tall order but I know of a boat that would perfectly fit that need. The Sea Chaser 220 Bay Runner. This boat is an innerliner which gives it a lot of weight that is important when you are in rough seas, yet at the same time it is very light for it's size, we...

Birddog and Shaggy, I'm glad yau'll did good Saturday, cause Sunday wasn't worth a flip. Hot, no wind , and a slooooowwwwww bite. We tried the same place yau'll were and couldn't catch squat. Let's look at Sunday, the 8th for St. Joe. I'm there if yau'll want to try it. Let me Know.

Littoral, we carry the P-Line Flouroclear up here in Thomasville at Outdoors, Inc. We've only got a few sizes left though. I know we have some 20, 15, 10, and maybe 12#. For some reason that stuff has been hard for me to get. All of my distributors are out of it and don't know when they will get mor...

Man that sounded like some good fishin right there. If you don't mind telling us, where did you do most of your fishing, east or west. I've never fished that area for trouts & such and I'd like to learn a little bit about it. So any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. CBASS

Hey SU, call CairoTrout or call me and we'll tell you about a little spot that you'll be lucky to catch any fish anyways other than topwater. It's an area that you rarely find water deeper than 30". Fish it on the falling tide and I gauruntee some trouts and reds. Good luck

Hey SU, I talked to a friend after you left the store earlier and he fished Mexico Beach on Sunday. They caught one Cobia right off the point of the cape, and believe it or not they caught some small to average Kings right at the mouth of the ICW back towards the old shipping lane (60 feet deep ther...
