I just use a circle hook for braid. All you have to do is start reeling when you feel a bite. Haven't lost very many fish since I went to circle
Hope it helps

Take some Gorilla glue with you and when the hook area gets torn up, put a drop in the hole and it will keep for another 3 or 4 fish. :-D

I just use a Trilene knot because it works really well for braid. Never had one come un-done.

I found out about this idea in one of my outdoor magazines.
If you are fishing on sandy bottom (although I found that it works well on oyster beds as well), rinse a gallon milk jug (the kind with the handle), tie a marine rop to the handle and when you need to anchor fill it up with water and toss ...

SD,
If you go to a Wal-Mart (Super would be best), they will sometimes have some in a couple different sizes.
Hope that helps

I saw some inflatibles that are supposedly "hook proof", and wouldn't tear on rocks or coral. But I think that the oyster bars would probably rip it up.
Does anyone else know anything about inflatibles?
Thanks

Kayak Fly Fishing

I'm thinking about possibly buying an inflatible kayak for flyfishing out of. I've got a 23 foot boat and would like to be able to keep it in the "big boat". Does any one know any pros and cons about inflatible kayaks? And also what make and model inflatible would be best.
Also does anyone know ...

I've had the same kind of problems on my spinning tackle too. To solve the problem I got a baitcaster. No problems yet-except learning how to use a baitcaster.

I'm not sure what it's called but you loop the line through the eye an wrap it around like you were going to do a uniknot but then put the tag end through the top loop and pull UP. For topwater I usally put a coulple half-hitchs on the end.
Hope this helps. :D

Thanks

You guys should try the Swimm'n Sammy made by luky craft. They are easy to use as far as getting the walking the dog action you are looking for. I have taken so many fish with this lure, actually as far as fishing top water, it is about all I use anymore.

At $15.00 a lure. No thank you ...
