Walmart has Everstart Maxx Deep Cycle batteries in a size 29 for $64.95 that should solve your problem. They also have a 3 year full replacement warranty and are prorated for up to 9 years. I've not seen a better warranty on any battery anywhere and I believe you'll be hard pressed to beat the price...

I don't have a trolling motor on my V-19 carolina skiff but thinking seriously bout getting one over the winter. Wondering about mounting two extra batteries. Would like to put them under the front...

Thanks wevans, I wasn't aware of that. Their legal here in GA where I use them on bigger live baits like trout or large gizzard shad when fishing for fresh water stripers.

Where are you guys talking about where treble hooks are illegal?

I've never heard of such except maybe in designated trout waters.

Also does this apply to live bait only or is this for artificial baits also?

I use a Riptide RT-80AP with autopilot and remote on my boat and love it. I could never go back to a foot pedal or hand control model again, the difference is like night & day. They cost more but well worth the added expense IMO, because I can operate the boat from anywhere on the boat via the w...

I don't understand why they don't at least offer a recirculating system with venturi and a filtration system as an option on boats with built-in bait tanks. W/o them their almost useless. If you're interested in a filter I've found with the help of a fellow fisherman a filter housing that works well...

It really does work!

My Uncle who was a commercial fishermen years ago when he was still alive taught me that trick way back when. He'd often times cut a donut wide open in his boat and then we'rd immediatly proceed to load the boat.

You may want to consider a jet drive in the future if you're in an area with a lot of rocks. I know folks who use them and they can run in 4" of water or less with them in some of the small rocky rivers around here. It just takes more engine HP to get the same speeds that you may be use to with...
