Poppin Corks
Just got back from St. George Island for a week and got some fishing in. My wife and I fished a couple of days before the kids and grandkids got there and had a good time. I caught what I thought was a big black drum until she caught one. Her's was a really big black drum. I had more fun watching he...

I found it and integrated with my google earth.
It's Benthic seagrass map from noaa. Somehow there was a link to integrate it with google earth.
I can't find that now but I'll keep trying. The above is a pretty good link.

20151106_155402.jpg 20151106_123331.jpg Pictures to show you how flat the water is and also the size of the fish. This is a place on the St. Johns River that we had the good fortune to fish for a number of years until last year. It was taken out by the (can't remember the name) hurricane/tropical s...

Re: Chum block
Do you mean range cubes like for cows? I've also heard the salt block suggestion and tried it today, along with a burlap bag full of mash and a brick in fast, black water, the worst old fashioned mullet fishing conditions lol! I have never seen Goose Pasture as black and full as it was today in Aug...

Re: Chum block
Do eating size mullet come to these things if you leave them out long enough? I have pretty good luck with the chicken mash method river fishing in calm water but I'm still looking for a trick that would help in faster water where there seem to always be more mullet but less action if that makes an...

Pilchards
Can anybody give me advice on where to look to find pilchards at lanark?
The only place i've ever caught them is at dog island in the little cove on the east end.
Thanks

We were at cape san blas yesterday. Water was clear where we were.
We launched right past eagle harbor landing at the little picnic area.

Re: Lanark 6/24
Went to cape san blas yesterday. Water was lot clearer there. We launched at the kayak launch right past the eagle harbor marina i guess its call ed. We had just gotten in and wife had hooked a nice trout when a cloud that we thought was going the other way fooled us. It thundered loud and the wife ...

Re: Lanark 6/24
I rode all over yesterday from lanark to dog island. The water was stained out to the island. Caught 2 sailcats, shark and 2 hardhead cats. Did have a big tarpon roll next to us though. MudDucker did you go to dog island reef? I started to go that way but was leery of the weather. Russ did yall catc...
Re: New boat
Very nice. Similar to the Sea Pro I'm fishing out of. Should be a smooth ride and a very happy family now. Enjoy. Is that 19' enough boat for you? I cant decide if I should go 19 or 21. Lots more 19's to choose from out there. I have a KW bay reef 196. I've had it for 12 years and love it. B...

Re: Would you still fish if you couldn't keep anything?
Yep, I would definitely keep fishing. Fishing's kinda like quail hunting for me. It's not about killing the quail, it's the dogs and all the other stuff that goes along with it. I do keep my limit of trout and redfish, if I ever catch the limit which is rare. I don't freeze fish, so I fry fish with ...

Re: Any CPA's on the forum?
Personal Financial statements can be costly and pretty time consuming. I would recommend asking the bank for a personal Profit and Loss form to fill out assuming your personal income and expenses are not to complicated. Typically in this situation your best bet is to go ahead and try to pull everyt...
