St. Joe Bay 4/18-4/21

Went down hoping for a mess of pompano and anything else that would bite. The beach was crystal clear Friday and there were plenty of pompano around. Re: Best time to fish St.Joe Bay in the fall??

October is my favorite time to fish down there, other than May and June. I have caught good reds and trout in the bay up until the end of November, however, you will not find me down there in December.

Sounds like my trip down there last weekend, windy, and we saw zero redfish. At least you got out there. Maybe in a week or two they'll be ready.

Gulf County 2/29, 3/1/08

Went down to the canal to let my sister and her family catch some fish to eat. Luckily we got some. Couldn't get very many trout to bite though. Got the sheepshead (19") on live shrimp. Got the reds and flounder on doa shrimp and jerkbaits. Ran to the cape side of the bay late in the afternoon ...

Re: St. Joe 2.28.08

I was down that way on the 1st, did good on reds in the canal, then hooked a good fish on the cape side late in the after noon on my fly rod while learning how to cast. He schooled me and got off. Saw 6 of them, all of them were upper slot fish. (first post)
