I replaced the motor in my '88 c1500 4x4 last year. I wanted to replace mine with something like what you did, but backed out at last minute for a replacement long block with 5 yr. 100,000 mile warranty. Sounds like you are going to have a lot more fun with your new motor!! :-D :-D

Any other info would be greatly appreciated. I'll try to get down there this weekendand check it out. First, and for most, does it have a Yamaha on it? I've had them all, and nothing runs like a Yammy.
Thanks,
Rocket

I'm thinking maybe a big Carolina Skiff. Something wide and stable with plenty of room. And most of all, affordable. If anybody knows of one for sale, please let me know. In the mean time, I'll check out boattrader.
Thanks

I didn't realize they took on so much water. I've seen one take a nose dive, it was behind me on the river, and everyone was on the front. Once it started to take on water, they all ran to the back. I thought that was a freak accident. I also did not know they could'nt handle 2' to 3' seas. I guess ...

FMasterson caught his while fishing for trout. We actually stopped fishing for trout, and headed futher inshore to target reds. Sun was getting low, and we had hoped the wind would lay down to throw some topwater. Wind never cooperated, so we opted for spoons.

You just reminded me of why I'm terrified to let my wife back me down the ramp. Good job on keeping your cool though.

pontoon boat

I have owned 3 or 4 boats in my time, however I don't know much about pontoon boats. I used to take the wife out quite a bit, and she would like to do so again. The only catch is we have a 19 mo. boy, and the boat I currently own is not very kid friendly. It seems to me a pontoon boat would be about...

Headed out of the river about 3:30 p.m. with Fish Masterson, and his best girl following. We got separated shortly after we started fishing, but it didn't seem to matter. Both boats did well. The boat I was on had 10 keeper trout (3 over 20"), a 27' red (a product of yours truly), and a 26"...

Well, he is still 6 mos. away from his 2nd birhtday. I'll run it past his mom, but I'm pretty sure he is not allowed to go. Are you working in town tomorrow? Call me tomorrow if there is a chance you can go. Maybe I can pull it off.
