Lanark Village Mart and boat ramp??
We don't come to Lanark but may 2-3x per year and haven't been in a while. We like to put in at Lanark and fish Dog Island Reef area and Bird Island. Is the Mart and boat ramp open now? The last time we were there the boat ramp was open, but Mike's wasn't. Thanks.
Re: Tarpon
The very first time we visited the area about 6 years ago, we were staying inside Alligator Bay and tried fishing Turkey Point. It's the first point west as you come out of the mouth of Alligator Bay. There are several sand bars there and the guides were anchored up. You can see the bars/islands on ...

Re: Crescent Fishing suggestions??
I have a close friend in Flagler Beach who I met while on vacation about 5 years ago, Jason Phillips, who is a charter captain in that area. I have fished with him many times over that span and he is as knowledgeable about the area as anyone I know. Daytona, Matanzas, St. Augustine, Crescent ...

Re: Red Snapper June 1
How deep were you fishing and what baits? I'm going to be in Panama City next week and wanted to try and find some red snapper as well. Any tackle info would be helpful. Sinker size/leader/hook size/rigging. I've done some offshore bottom fishing, but not much at P.C. I've got a 175 Scout ...

Re: Gag/Snapper Regs in State Waters Question
Thanks to all for the replies. Sounds like from all the posts that a lot of folks are confused and pretty upset with all of this. I don't blame any of you!!! This is crazy and it's got to affect the economy of the area. I've got a good friend in Flagler Beach with a charter business and it's almost ...

Gag/Snapper Regs in State Waters Question
I'm a little confused about the state waters Gulf regulations for red snapper and gag grouper. Some places I'm reading that the gags may be shut down in state waters June 1 but open back up in federal waters. I'll be fishing in state waters out of Panama City Beach June 6-15. What is the ruling? I ...

Re: 5-14-11 St. Andrews Bay
Do you mind asking your info guy if the flounder and bull minnows will still be in the bay in June. I'll be there between June 6-15 on vacation. Sounds like you guys had a great day. I'd love to put the kids on some of those while we're there.

Panama City Fishing Info needed June 6-15th
Hope someone can help me. I've fished the area of St. Andrews Bay, jetties and nearshore a few times, but was looking for someone with some inside info that might increase my chances a little. Last year I fished for kings mostly west out of the jetties in 20-50 ft with some success using drone ...

Re: Lanark 4-27-28-29-2011
Thanks for inviting me on the trip, little bro. It was a blast with a great group of guys and 2 first-time 10 year olds that did great on their maiden voyage to the big muddy. Looking forward to our next trip soon. I was definitely a little disappointed with the Spaniard action at the reef as it has ...

Re: Birthday Grouper
Nothing worse than seeing someone get sick out there. Nowhere to hide! Congrats to the birthday girl and her grouper.

Re: Reef Donkey-New Member
Thanks Wevans. I'll check these as well. We are locked into the trip and can't get the deposit back, so we're coming no matter what the weather looks like. Just wondering if I should bring some heavier stuff along in case we can't get outside and to Dog Island Reef and beyond without too much ...

Looks like I'm the newest member to Big Bend, but I've been reading the posts here for a few years. Pastor Terry, another new member, is my "little" brother and we will be fishing out of Lanark this week for 3 days. He had asked for a little inside info in a previous post, but I'm getting very ...
