I have only been catching Spanish for about 3 years, but one lure that just seems to kill them for me is the KastMaster spoon. You can throw one as far as you can throw anything and when you match the hatch with the right size, the Spanish just can't leave it alone. Oh, I really don't use the Kastma...

Re: Lowrance or Garmin handheld gps?

Whats better the Lowrance ifinder H2O or the Garmin marine 76? From someone that had 3 Lowrance GPS units before my 1st Garmin, go with Garmin. I just went to the Lowrance site, and did not see a color handheld. The Garmin 76C looks to me like a dynamite unit. If you have never had color, you don't...

It's my understanding that both the Federal abd State rules are in agreement. bag limit of 5 gags, of those only two can be reds. The reds only need to be 20", but the gags need to be a minumum of 23". Hmmm, the "Fishing Lines" you just linked to say the Gulf size limit f...

It is different. The one in Destin is a World Wide Sportsman like Islamorado. More geared towards saltwater than Atlanta. Smaller though. Worth a trip. Can someone float me a loan? :-D :-D I figured the one in Destin would be more geared to Salt, but will the one in Macon be more like Destin or mor...

Unless it is different from the one in N. Atlanta, it will be mostly Fresh Water. I am looking forward to visiting the one in Islamorado in May. :-D

Flats Rascal, all I have to say is "WOW THANKS"!

I am simply unable to get to the coast very often, and your reports help in the withdrawal pains until the next time I can get there.

Once again THANKS

Flats Rascal, thanks for the attempt, but next time, type the report in a Word Processor. When finshed, copy, then paste. This year I am staying at a house that has a ramp in the Back Yard. 8)

Before that I was launching @ Apalachicola City Ramp. Since my Tow vehicle is a front wheel drive, and I am not familiar with the channel at the bridge and the lack of real parking at the bridge I have just never launched there.

My favorite bait is about a 4 inch Pigfish, then a 4 inch Pinfish. The Pigfish are like candy to the BIG reds. I have caught a few Pompano on the outside of the East Jetty, but most of my Pompano have come from the beach in the State Park. I have friends that have gotten into the Bull Whiting within...
