yak fishing
I've been kayak fishing for about a year now. My girl friend wanted to get back to nature so without much study on it, I bought a big tandem sot made by Pelican. It's the big orange one against the wall in Sports Authority. The pro's: you can throw it in the truck and go with it. I can get the urge ...

Greed
There is nothing like lively lake shiner under a cork to bring out the big females. I got a couple, 8+, one day like that. After I took a couple of pictures, I let them go. Thirty years a go, I would have taken them in to show all my buddies but that was 1970. Something didn't feel right about it th...

st. george bay side
haven't seen any reports on the lagoon side of st.george, from the state park back towards the town. There is a long, slow rising tide tomorrow. Going to visit friends, thought I'd put the yak in. What should I know and expect about this area?

leader to braid
I was interested in the the general concensus on attaching a flurocarbon leader to braid. I'm using green powerpro braid and Fireline, both 10lb. I have a spool of 14lb Vanish and use the the standard double uni-knot. Five twists on the braid and and four on the fluro? or four and three? I want adeq...

anchor rope
Maybe this is old news, but I went to the local pet store and got one of those retractable dog leashes. 24 ft. of line, rated for a 150lb dog. Hooked it to the anchor tie. Works great, let out what you need and then lock it. I put a carrabeaner clip on the handle, then it's easy to find something to...

lake hall
I know that fish, that's Buddy and he hates those kids. They try and bean him with 12 grain bread and then the rocks come. Is that the dock straight across from the landing or back over in the cove? I'll be sure and wave. Nice fish " discretion is the better part of valor"

lake Hall motors
I've seen several boats with the motor up just using the the trolling motor. I just have a kayak. If you live one the lake you can use anything you want. 487-4556, I think is the rangers hut number, give them a call.

Lake Hall 3-9
I had a couple of hours to kill fri. afternoon, so i grabbed a symetre 1500 on a 7ft ultra light rod and drove down to lake hall about 4pm. The leon crew team was having a practice and there were a couple of ladies on the dock sitting on buckets waiting for dinner to bite. I went to the other side o...

touring kayak?
I fished a lot as a kid, growing up on the St. Johns river. I started up with a new girlfriend recently, who liked to get out in the wild. On impulse I bought that big orange tandem sot by pelican that they sell at sports authourity. Getting out on the water has renewed my interest in fishing. The r...

Lake Jackson
New to site, wasn't able to get to the coast and try to find some of these reds you keep talking about. After the rain, I decide to put on the divers boots and do a little wading at Millers landing. The water is up since the rains. I fished the fast toad in the overflow shallows. Missed blow-ups on ...
