Re: Fishing K tower question

I have caught AJs, cobia, grouper, and snapper there on occasion- going back 20 years.

Lately (last 1-2 years) all I have caught there are undersized AJs and small grouper that the cuda take.

Amberjack Anyone?

Total Bust last year- I didn't get any of those "Crowd Pleasers" last year at all.

I used to always get a couple at the towers or Bryson and then move off to catch grouper- it would take some of the pressure off to put fish in the boat for my crew.

Anybody seeing them yet? March 15 wil be here ...

Re: Carrabelle Area Help

Caught 10 keepers out in 50 foot Saturday- was 8 miles off Dog due 180.

Best advice is to buy a really good color bottom machine (I have a Furuno) and troll stretch 30's...mark good looking bottom, and occasionally bottom fish. I did that this past weekend- hit about 5 numbers before I connected ...

Local Business- Blaines Rod and Reel Repair @ Kevin's

Just wanted to give a shout out for the new guy who took over Bill Colson's rod repair at Kevin's...His name is Blaine Cort, he was Bill's "assistant" for many years and bought out Bill's interest in the business.

Blaine is one of the nicest guys in Tallahassee, is honest, and takes pride in his ...

5/29/06 What's up with no fish? I USED to catch 'em!

Fished hard last few weeks, and to date I have put only five grouper in the boat. What gives? I think the red tide/hurricane Dennis/water from Katrina have done a lot more damage than we think. The only people catching have been out by SM-1, or the template.

I fished several dependable numbers in ...

FOR SALE 23 foot Proline Walk

1988 full transom with a bracket. Best thing about it is the 1999 225 EFI merc on it. Also have an Aluminum trailer with it.

Asking $4500. Pictures soon.

This is a project. The motor runs strong, but the hull needs a lot of work.

WD-40 as Grouper Attractant

I have a friend who swears by spraying WD-40 on cut LY's as an attractant for grouper. I thought he was crazy until I saw him heft 4 nice gags in the boat, while we were just "wishing"....

Everybody started grabbing the stuff after that.

Is Jack's Juice really just WD-40 with another label ...

Greenbone's answer works very good. Been doing it for years.

Same here, but all mine becomes "chum" Did I mention that I caught a grouper that came in the boat sportin' a chicken wing in his throat that I had just sent down? Needless to say, the rest of the leftover Beef O'Brady's wings were gone ...

Tin Can,
An SR22 is a Cirrus plane Model Sr22. I do believe I know the real owner of the plane. I only know of 1 SR22 in the Tally area and it is at TLH.

Actually there are two here in Tally. My broker owns the one in the photo, and Dr Brickler owns the other one. My wife works for Dr Brickler at ...
