We went through east pass at 7am,first stop was yamaha and fished all over it with nary a bite eased over to O tower got a few bites on a drift so decided to anchor beside it. Started catching real nice snapper and grouper that were just short, finaly put a 23er in the box a few more snaps and short...

The plug TC gave me was a speckled trout skitterwalk, It didnt have a name on it but I saw some at WM and bought 3 now Im set :thumbup: :D also bought a MirrOlure Popa Dog any one use one of these

You can lock a TLD 15 down if you want. I snapped 80 lb ande mono on a huge stingray once trying to keep it off that sunken boat in east pass, some one had to hold on to me to keep me in the boat and I weigh 230 :o

Chalk I agree with you on the issue, In cold weather PVC becomes very brittle and if it broke with all your weight on it you could expect it to end up through a lung or something else. If I did alot of shore nuf real polling I would invest in a pole designed for that purpose :thumbup:

Ive had two TLD 15s for about 10 ys now and love them. I havent seen the need for anything larger for bottom and trolling fishing here, I use a 80lb braid and it gives me plenty of line cap. The drags are ultra smooth and the weight is lite, and can cast them really well when needed the retrieve rat...

I found a nice stand of large dia. bamboo, works great, when it dries its lite enough to pole for extended periods, and they are FREE and STRONG
