Re: Rattlesnake cove7/17
I was directly across the bay from you in carrabelle. Water clarity wasn't great but the fish were very much there. It was my first time out in my Kayak. Managed a limit of trout a big red and a spanish mack.

Re: Anyone been to Aucilla lately?
My buddy and I went out of econfina last week. You know that color of coffee when you put a spoonful of milk in it??? Thats about what it looked like. I think we had about 6" of visibility everywhere we went. We did manage some fish however. But it was a long day of catfish, rock bass, and a fe...

Re: REDFISH ANYONE?!?!?! 6/19
RHTFISH- Nah we never had any sharks try to get after them. We did have a bull shark about 8 ft long lurking around the boat for some of the day though..

REDFISH ANYONE?!?!?! 6/19
Went out of Econfina yesterday in search of redfish. The day of the NFGFC tournament we went around and got tons of hits and lost 3 giants at the boat but shortly had to turn our focus onto trout. We ended that day with our 15 trout limit but all were under 17 1/2" and all in 5-6 ft of water. B...

Lanark, Carrabelle, and St. Joe
Went these past couple weeks to some different locations to see where I needed to fish for the tournament coming up. With the fish moving into a little bit deeper water I tried some different places just to see what exactly the fish were up to. First we went to st. Joe for the NFGFC tournament and f...

Re: NFGFC St.Joe bay Tournament results
In my opinion the scales were fluctuating way to much and our weight was way to close to not have a second look. :smt012 . I know its not a "big" tournament by any means but I do think it deserved a second look. And Showboat, Sadly no, I did not enter the redfish pot but the redfish weighe...

Re: Flounder Gigging
Haven't done it many times but the panacea area is pretty good.. Just find some good sandy/mud bottom around the edges of the bank and they're surely be there!

Reports from Econfina, Lanark, and St. Joe
Over these past 3 weeks I've had the privilege to get out on the water ALOT. Every place I've been to there have been fish and plenty of them. We'll start at econfina where the fish are everywhere from 2' in the mornin to 8' feet of water in the afternoon. I went three times in the last 2 weeks and ...

Re: A Few Questions
I love the sport of fishing and even if I couldn't keep the fish I would still like to go. However since I can I don't want to go all in with a fly and come out with nothing. I'd rather just take both and see what that fly will do once I find the fish.

Re: A Few Questions
Thanks for all the help guys! I'm planning on bringing the fly rod with me on trips and once I start catching the fish maybe I'll throw it out and see if I can't catch a couple. Im big on eating fish at least two times a week and I dont want to sacrifice not catching anything but also I know the thr...

A Few Questions
I've been fishing with conventional tackle for a while now and want to step up my game a little bit. I catch alot of trout with spinning reels and what not but I want to try to start fly fishing for trout. Any advice such as line weight, rod weight, lures to use would be greatly appreciated. I've fl...
